In our house Halloween costume fun isn’t just limited to humans (or maybe it is, depending on who you ask…)
Anyone who has met my shih tzus, Max and Jazzy, can attest to what good sports they are. They live a life of leisure, far removed from their rough beginnings in life. They allow me to sleep in their king sized bed with them, rub their bellies, and feed them steamed broccoli. All they ask of me in return is that once in a while I buy them fancy little costumes to prance around in and have photo ops. Okay, so I might be stretching the truth a little bit, but for the right amount of treats, they will pose nicely for a couple of pictures for me.

No matter which costume you go with, remember that Halloween can be very scary for your pets with all the doorbell ringing, costumes, and strange noises. Here are some tips from the Humane Society of the United States, “Giving your Pets a Safe and Happy Halloween.”
