I love succulents, they are cute, and luckily for me, hard to kill. What I don’t love is cleaning up the mess made from planting them at home, or not knowing how to arrange them in planter, etc. When I heard about Plant Nite, all my green thumb dreams came true! I can pick from their great selection, take home an adorable project I MADE, and they take care of everything.
I was compensated for telling you about my Plant Nite experience here in Las Vegas, but all opinions are my own.
Plant Nite is the fun new party event! If you have ever participated in a Paint Nite, you are familiar with the format. A master artist guides everyone through the process, offering encouragement and helpful tips. You leave with a finished project to decorate your home or office (or even give as a gift.) At the Plant Nite event I selected, we made glass terrariums.
I arrived at the venue and everything was all set up for me. Each station was equipped with the glass container, an apron, gloves, and some high-end tools (a plastic spoon and plastic cup). I am pretty messy so I wore the apron, but I stayed surprisingly clean!
The instructor was great – he was super friendly and reminded everyone that we were in a positive zone. He didn’t want to hear anyone doubting their creative abilities!
We started out by filling the glass container with some gravel and soil, and then selected 3 small succulents to go inside. Selecting which succulents to use was the biggest challenge of the evening!
Once we planted our succulents, it was time to decorate! There were a variety of mosses, decorative gravels, and fun items like mini pinwheels and plastic dinosaurs to choose from – everything is included in your ticket price.
For the last step, our instructor went over how to care for our new terrariums, and warned us about over watering – the biggest killer of succulents.
I would love to participate in another Plant Nite in the future! I thought it was well organized and I was so happy with my finished terrarium. Check out Plant Nite for your next girls night out, office get-together, or a fun date with your significant other. Different Plant Nite events offer different projects, so don’t worry if glass isn’t your thing! Plant Nites are sprouting up across the country, so look on their website to find events in your area.
